The 80th winner of the St Leger, held on Wednesday 12th September 1855 over 1 mile 6 furlongs and 132 yards of Town Moor, was Saucebox, a bay colt by St Lawrence out of Priscilla Tomboy, owned by Mr Tom Parr.
